Cornelian Power Games

Milorad R. Margitic´ examines Corneille`s first twelve plays, using each of them to highlight a particular strategy of power it best illustrates. What emerges from this examination is both an impression of diversity and a strong sense of continuity. Also, Corneille`s universe appears highly manipulative, i.e. political rather than ethical or heroic, and his characters complex, flexible, and changing.
